can you mount an ACOG and an Aimpoint 3x magnifier together?
On an M4 assault Rifle, could you mount an ACOG scope (any zoom power will do) and also attach an Aimpoint 3x Magnifier scope behind it, just as you would with an Aimpoint Red Dot Sight? I want to do this because I want a little bit more zoom capabilities with my ACOG, plus i have a red dot holo sight mounted atop my ACOG for CQC, so would having the 3x magnifier work mounted behind an ACOG scope?
Actually I dont play COD, I am in the Army mr. nice guy, and am looking to try out some new optic ideas. the ACOG has a design with a screw in top mounted red dot sight. Do a little investigative work before you start slandering.
You can, but you will not get the desired effect. There are many factors which will have different effects upon the outcome of your setup which is nearly impossible to predict without doing the math or through trial and error research. I would suggest a side piccany rail setup with another scope that has higher magnification to obtain your desired effect.
