Archery stabilizer... really necessary?
I am 15 years old and have had a bow for about 1 year now. I bought a used Mathews outback and it works great! I have a sight, arrow rest, kisser, peep, soon to have a quiver and bow sling. However, one thing i don't have is a stabilizer. How important are stabilizers?? I am using this bow to hunt, so keep that in mind. Do I need one like the X-coil, or one with a weighted aspect also??? What kind of stabilizers do you use/like? If any suggestions, please keep them relatively cheap, nothing over $50. What are all the positives of having a stabilizer on your bow??, and also if I buy the x-coil do you think I go with black or mix the camos??... All you want to share is welcomed.

A stabilizer actually does multiple things for a bow; it dampens and deadens vibrations and the sounds they make, dampens the release shock energy in the bow, balances the weight of the bow slightly forward and with proper follow though that weight should be enough to let the bow tip forward after the shot--which is why you use the sling. The X-Coil is a good product, and almost any stabilizer is better than none. As for black or camo--animals can't tell and won't see it, so what ever looks best to you.
