What are the Army Regulations on Skateboarding?
I am currently deployed. The base I am on is fairly large and it is acceptable for people to ride bicycles to and from work. I have a longboard skateboard (I just cruise its not like I am doing tricks) today when I was going through a sally port a Command Sergeant Major told me that I could not skateboard. I have been wearing a reflective belt and a helmet. I am only a sergeant so I decided not to fight it but I am rather angry about the situation. I checked the SOP of the area I got yelled at and found nothing about skateboarding, but I cant seem to find anything in army regulations either. Does anyone know the regulation on skateboarding? Please I really need help.
if the CSM said no skateboards.. then no skateboards. regardless of whether or not there is a regulation. Local command policy can ALWAYS be more restrictive than anything in Regs.
