I am an active duty Airman, I would just like to know how other Airmen feel about all these uniform changes.?
I love the ABU you BDU people need to quit being stubborn and upgrade from that dirty old army uniform! I am deployed right now, my main issue is with the new PT gear (wearing reflective belts) I would like real reasoning for reflective belts back at homestation I work in the MPS and I know how to cross the street without being ran over so what are they needed for, we have HUGE BRIGHT WINGS on our back!, but when it is all said and done I will play by the AFI but still it is frustrating but hey its the Air Force and I love it!
(My only complaint is wearing the reflective belt in pt gear at home station) oh yea, and since they are making all these regs on pt gear now (which just came out recently why don't they issue PT gear for deployments!? Them shits ain't free!
As a Canadian soldier who has served along side the US forces in Afghanistan I can tell you that we used to chuckle about the reflective belts and some Canadian numpty tried to have them issued to us to wear as well. They found their way into the trash real quick.
Let me see, you can carry a gun, you can shoot to defend yourselves and to achieve the mission BUT, you need a glowing belt to walk the streets of the camp. Hmmm, what next.
I agree, get rid of them. What happened? Did some General retire and want to start a new business supplying reflective belts to the military?
