Good holster for practical shooting and advice?
I'm getting into practical shooting and need a holster. I have a springfield xd9 in the 5 inch barrel. It came with a belt holster but I don't like it at all. Any suggestions?
Also any advice from those in the sport that i should have? Any practice or training idea's?
Thanks alot
Safariland makes some very fine holsters. Check them out.
If you don't like the belt holster for your practical shooting, you should look into a drop leg platform. They're much more comfortable and more ergonomic to draw from IMHO. All you'll need is the drop leg and panel, usually an existing holster can be attached to the drop leg panel with the PALS webbing on the panel.
Make sure you're allowed to use a different type of holster in your competitions. Some only allow drawing from certain types of holsters.
