Good snowboard for bombing down the mountain?
I'm looking for a good board for just going real fast on groomed and some powder - no parks. But everything seems the be made for parks.
I'm riding a 158 burton custom right now (I'm 155 lbs), but if I go straight down a blue-black, once I hit the maximum speed I can get, if it's choppy the board bounces around all over the place.
If I go down a diamond at normal speeds it's chill, but if I really go all-out, the board doesn't seem to have near enough grip for the long-sweeping carves - it just slides out. Same with a double diamond.
Any ideas on a better board for going fast? I'm thinking somewhere 161-163 but for brand/model I have no idea.
hmm demo a bigger board .All boards ride different. I spend alot of my season here in CO demoing boards. weird you get chatter at high speeds. I usually ride a 153 Graft (freestyle) 160lbs and can bomb double black with very lil chatter always depends on the conditions for me . But im usually riding pow allday everyday in the winter
