fixed blade knife laws in texas?
l live in galveston county tx and i have a 4.5 inch blade fixed knife. 4.5 is the lengh of the blade alone
i was wondering if this is legal to carry...went down to the police station and asked and the had me sittin for hours and no one had a awnser my question is is this leagl to carry in the open not conceld on my hip in a sheath walking around town, going to work ect.....
Texas Statute 46.01(6)(a) defines an illegal knife as one with a blade [alone] over 5 1/2 inches. Link to the statute below for further information.
