deer and turkey hunting ?
im 14 and this is my first year hunting turkey and deer. I bought a blind and a new 12 guage what camo and accessories should i get that wont cost my parents a fortune. thanks for the help
you need to check with your state hunting laws.
my state requires you to wear a orange neon vest. which because deer are colorblind, it just helps other hunters see you so that they dont accidently mistake you for a deer.
If you are bow hunting, I'd wear full camo either on a stand or making a final stalk. When walking though, you might want to wear an orange hat whether you're required to or not.
As far as rifle hunting, as said, each state varies.
You might have to have a vest or hat, vest and hat, or a square inch requirement.
There's a ton of deer killed every year with muzzleloaders and rifles by people with tan work coveralls and an orange vest. I for one have never seen a difference between wearing tan and camo with a rifle. Deer over 30 yards away are not likely to see you provided you don't move.
Keeping still --- that's the key.
