Pork Pot Roast in Cider question?
So it says I can buy boneless pork blade or sirloin roast and I bought Pork Loin Roast/ In the cook book is says dutch oven, but to make sure I checked out the websites on cooking it and it says to put on a rack in a oven pan and cook at 450 for 10 minutes then 250 for one hour. Now im doing that and its cooking as I type here, the book has aplle cider, bouillon granules, dryed mustard, and pepper, pour over meat. Can I pour this over the meat in the oven? then when would I add my veggies? carrots parsnips, patatos, carrots, onion if I did it this way? can it be done or will it be nasty? HELP! hehe
Pour the apple cider, bouillon granules, dried mustard, and pepper over the meat and cover the pan with foil. Will keep the moisture in. Also would be good idea to baste the meat every 20 minutes or so.
Add the veggies to the liquid in the pan. The will add flavor to the meat and absorb flavor to the meat.
You may want to look into getting a slow cooker. Put everything in in the morning, put the cover on, set to low. Come back in 8-9 hours and everything is ready to eat.
