200 yard small bore and Mini Palma?
I read a story about a local public range owned by my county is going through some changes. One thing is a stronger emphasis on air guns and small bore, which is much cheaper than centerfire.
Two offerings are Mini Palma shot at 100 yd targets and 200 yard prone target shooting. I'd like to get involved, but my budget is limited. This scope is$45 locally.

Plinkster 802 with 21" bull barrel.
This $200 is my maximum price to spend. Will I be competitive? There will be people with rigs 3-4x the price.
I really can't exceed this $200 budget right now. Thanks.
I doubt you will be competitive with anything other than a match rifle with good optics and firing match ammo but it is fun all the same. On a day with poor conditions you might just show up some of the "safe queens" as it is more about the shooter than the equipment. There is lots of fun to be had with long range target shooting and a 22 is a great introduction and for cheap practice.
