I need ideas for the reception activities of a true redneck wedding.?
I am planning my wedding. I have everything planned out except for the reception. I will be having it in a field in the middle of my farm in WV. The guests will be seated on hay bales an i will be entering on a horse with my camo dress draped over its back and wearing camo hunting boots. The groom will be wearing a black tux and a camo vest and boots mabey a hat but thats still undecided. there will be two rebal flagsplaced on each side of the entrance to the field opening and there will be orange flowers beacuse of the wedding being on october 10th when we first started dating. i have some reception ideas but i need more.... i do know that there will 4-wheeler riding all night long on the farm which is 112 acres with alot of trails. please help i need more ideas
You definetly need a reception, to feed your guests with all that stuff that will be going on. Is there a barn or something close by. Or set up tents like on poles covered with camo netting---hope it doesn't rain. Plenty of beer and sodas in large tubs with ice (both) or hire a beer van or have ldern what--keg things. Have plenty of hotwings, salsa and chips, meat trays, different breads for sandwiches and potato salad on ice and baked beans. And a wedding cake, you have enough camo so why not have your cake the only thing traditional with orange/coral lillies extending down the top in a cascade. You can order different cake toppers, deer hunting, but I think one thing needs to be exclusively bridal. And have a chocolate flat or two layer grooms cake and have all the funny camo, deer stuff on it. Everyone likes chocolate and this way they will have a selection, althought I don't drink, I know sweets and beer do not mix. Have tall containers with sprays of colored leaves and creek cane ends, fuzzy stuff you find in a field and queen anne's lace, if you can't find it, florist will have. Keep dec. simple. Oh yes, are you having portapotties???? Good luck and have fun.
