Question on ROTC uniform?
What uniforms are issued to cadets in ROTC? are you issued the blues? are you issued the new tiger stripe ABU's or the old woodland camo uniforms? When are you issued the uniforms? do you get them as soon as you start an ROTC class? What all are cadets issued in the ROTC program also? Thanks a lot!
more specifically could i get some info on air force ROTC
I was issued two pair of BDU's (including boots and t-shirts) and a Class A and a Class B uniform. they were issued relatively quickly after I entered the program. We were required to wear the Class B (or on rare occasions the Class A) to class.
We were not issued the Dress Blues. Upon graduation we were required to either turn in or purchase everything that was issued to us. Dress Blues were not required until Basic and then we were required to purchase those pretty quickly. As an officer, you will purchase all of your uniforms. And even though I was issued my gear, I also ended up buying my own field gear. It was easier for me at out processing and I could always have a "clean" set for inspections, parades and what not.
