Sighting in a red dot scope on ar-15?
I have a dmps light 16", I bought a s.p.o.t. red dot and mounted it on the carry handle, I zeroed it in at 30yrds and it was great but when i moved into 15yrds it was shooting five inches low. I then moved to 60 yrds and it was 8 inches high. Can anyone tell me why? or what im doning wrong? Im new to red dots. Thanks guys

You're sighting it in at too close of a distance. The lack of accuracy is magnified when you move the target farther away from you. Zero it in at a distance of no less than 50 yards. 100 yards would be even better. Once you zero it in at 50 yards or more it will shoot much more accurately at all distances.
