Any handloaders/lead casters here?
Just for the sake of curiousity, what's the most bullets you've cast at one sitting? I just got done with some 200gr H&G 68's. I cast close to 2000 in one sitting! Yes, it's a real 4 cavity H&G mould, not the overpriced copy.
Wuj, I will HIGHLY recommend the RCBS 20 pound pot. It costs a bit more, but you get a more uniform pour with the 20 pound pot. Plus you don't need to be constantly adding lead/tin/antimony every 10 minutes with it.
CIH (Ret) I do the same thing, I won't lubrisize all these on one sitting that's for sure! I pour 272gr Keith SWC with a lee single cavity. Makes for a long day doing 500 for sure!
While I have no idea of what has ever been the greatest number of bullets I have cast in one sittingI am sure that you have me beat with a count of 2000 bullets cast at one sitting. I would suppose that I cast, maybe, 500 bullets at one sitting but I am using a single cavity mould and a 10 pound bottom pour pot. I will cast bullets one day and then size and lube them the next day or so. Then they are ready when I need them.
