OK, I need a little assistance. Today I bought a Romanian AK-47...?
...it has the added folding stock on it though. It came with a magazine pouch, 2 mag, small oil can, cleaning brush, bayonet, bayonet steel sheath, a leather sling, and a rubber thing. Wish I could post a picture, but I don't know what the rubber thingy is. Looks like something that would slip on/over something. But I have no idea. Do you?
Also...how does the sling attach? It has a clip on one end that simply clips to the ring near the barrel, and another end that fastens near the stock. I see where it attaches but I don't how it attaches. On that end of the sling it has what resembles a belt buckle (sort of). How does it attach? Any ideas?
Put the hook end of your sling through the rear swivel. Do this the opposite way the bore is pointing, i.e. if the bore is pointing up, put the hook through the swivel hanging down. Pull it through until the buckle is a few inches from the swivel. Now take the hook end of the sling and bring it back up over the top of the swivel you just went through and weave it through the buckle going under the first bar, over the center where it's attached, and back under the last bar. Pull enough sling through the buckle until you have enough to attach the hook to the front sling swivel.
I hope you understand this, I've tried to explain it as best I can.
I have no idea what the rubber thing is.
