1.5 coil spring trap?
will a duke 1 1/2 coil spring trap hold a coyote? also i know how to set it but do you need to use a bait or a lure around it? how do you attract an animal to it?
if a 1 1/2 wont hold them what about a 1 3/4
also what does a dirt hole attract?
and does anybody know of a good homemade coyote recipe?

no, it is not strong enough. first you have to kill the scent on the trap....that can be done by putting it in boiling water that has melted parrafin on the top...when you pull the trap out a thin layer of the parrafin coats the trap and reduces most of the left over scent. You have to be careful about handling after that though so that you don't get much scent back onto it.
I have access to cow hides and I used them for bait...stake out the cow hide and put the trap just under the edge of the hide as coyotes like to paw around under the edge of the hide.
