Which comp to chose?
i have customized 2 desktops on 2 different sites gave them the same stuff for the most part but the only real differnce between them is the cheaper has a dual core 3.0, liquid cooling for the cpu, HIgh Def 7.1 sound card, and it comes with a free poker set and free T-shirt and carrying briefcase...where as the more expensive one has a quad core 2.4, 3D premium sound card, Free Halo2, Anarchy online, Scions of Fate, T-shirt, and Case, and they both have cool cases i like the more expensive one alittle more but its jsut looks thing is the price difference is only like 80 bucks....
this computer is being used as mainly a gameing computer mostly MMO's but other smaller games and just basic computer uses...like internet and word :
Simple, a quad core. Why would you invest in outdated hardware?
Yes, right now, the Dual core is used by more applications. But for longevity, the quad core will multi task more, and run future games and software better.
Also, for games, you want Sli. The processor here won't matter as much as 1 graphics card vs 2 or 3 in sli. Also, the Quad also overclocks over 3.0ghz.
For $80, I'm sure the mobo and maybe the memory is even better in the Quad core... it's newer. Easy choice if you ask me.
