What is the best compact scope for my 10 22 ruger?
I have a 10 22 Ruger with a butler creek folding stock. I want a small tactical scope for under 80 bucks. I kind of like red dots because they tend to be small, and I like the dot feature. Should I do this. I hesitate with the red dots because the most magnification I've seen is only 2x. does anyone have an opinion about these kind of scopes. I don't need a lot of magnification but defiantly something.
I have a $5 Crossman BB gun scope on mine. Not very tactical, but it works for me.
Red dots are good for 50 yards or so. If you regularly shoot more than that both Walmart and Dlcks carry scopes in the $40-$50 range. Don't need anything too fancy for a .22
