Recruiting Question??
My niece was discharged from the Marines for failure to adapt to the marine corp way of life after 7 months of boot camp. She can rejoin the USMC in 2 years. She is currently trying to join the Army National Guard. Her NG recruiter told her she had to sign a 4 year contract. Her Marine recruiter told her today they have a 2 year active duty option with 6 years inactive. At that time she can go active in another branch. She needs to know the truth. Does she need to sign 4 years w/ the NG or can she go with the 2 year option and then join the USMC like she really wants to?
Thanks for your help! For those who have served THANK YOU for you service. The American military is the best!!!!!
I don't know about that but I found a nice big enlistment bonus on the NG web site plus it shows a 30 month option.

I don't know if she'd be eligible for that program unless she planned on doing the guard part too. They have different recruiting programs come up day to day.
