How can I preserve a custom number format and convert a cell to text in Excel?
I've added leading zero's to a batch of data using custom format. I need to change these to text, but when I do, the zero's dissapear! Any help would be great, thanks.
you can use the Text Function: =TEXT(A1,"000000") where the first argument is the cell to convert and the second arguement is how you want the text formatted.
