Raw Feeders... I was wondering about deer meet?
My Husband went hunting and we now have a dressed out deer carcus cut up in quarters in our large freezer. Are there any parts that we should be concerned about in feeding our dogs? I have never fed raw deer, and i was wondering about the bones, particularly the spine and ribs. Any advice and info on introducing deer into a raw diet. Any web references would also be awesome! Thank you
We raise & hunt with dogs and feed them raw deer meat alot! They are happy,healthy & really at a great weight. You have to remember,
dog were eating raw meat before they were even domesticated and wolves and coyotes still do.So,to answer your question NO there is no part of the deer that will hurt your dogs. Hope they enjoy thier treat!
OH, if your still concerned about the raw meat part you can boil it with some rice or noodles( we even add some scraps from fridge) We do this alot in the winter to help with keeping them warm too. Good Luck !
