How good is a Lee reloading press?
I know Dillon is the rolls royce, but I want to keep it in a Ford pinto budget.
The Lee aniversary kit is a great set up for a beginner who only needs a single stage press. The aluminum challenger model works pretty well for the price. I bought one when I started reloading. Recently I upgraded to a Lee classic cast because I do a lot of case forming. The challenger didn't form brass as well as I would have liked it to.
The Lee will definitely meet your price requirements, midwayusa.com has them on sale fairly often.
I didn't care much for the scale or powder measure with the kit however. It was accurate enough for my needs, but I just don't like them made of plastic. At a garage sale I later picked up a Pacific scale and a Lyman cast iron powder measure for $10.
