Anyone know where I can buy the boil in bag main meals from Army ration packs?
I don't need the whole ration packs, just the individual meal pouches, vacuum packed and light so you can eat cold or just drop straight into water. The only alternative is Wayfarer meals found in camping stores but they're expensive at £3.50, and the freeze dried food needs cooking and is tasteless. Thanks for any suggestions.
When I backpacked yrs ago, we went very cheap. I dont know if you can get these items in the UK. Ramen instant noodles weigh little & cost little. Uncle Ben's Instant rice in cookable bag. canned vienna sausages. The ketchup packets & other flavoring packets from McDs & other fastfood places dont take up space. Canned sardines. Ready to eat Tuna & Salmon in foil pouches are now available - 3 - 4oz servings. Instant dehydrated soups worked. especially when cooked w/the instant noodles or rice. Most of this stuff is still cheap & available. Good luck!!
Finally remembered two brands you might have. Knorr dehydrated pouch soups. Spam in individual foil pouches.
