Other than controlling heat, what are blankets in first aid for and techniques what to do with them?
I do know that the blanket is a (essential?) "tool" in first aid, but other than its heat controlling capabilities, what other ways can it help you?
Is/Are there also specific technique(s) in how to manage someone with a blanket, such as in a bone injury or intense bleeding if they are used in those instances anyway?
Blankets can be used for lots of things besides controlling heat:
as a soft splint for a broken bone
to keep pressure on a bleeding wound
to drag a patient out of an unsafe area
for stabilization of the cervical spine when other tools are unavailable/inappropriate
There are basic first aid courses available almost everywhere, and you'll learn some of these techniques, among others.
