What do I do for them?? HELP?
Ok, here is the deal. My sister-in-law's house was struck by lighting today and burned to the ground. Everyone is ok, Thank God. I don't know what to do for them. Everyone thinks of food, clothes, blankets etc. They will have so much of that. They are not rich but they are going to be ok on the $$ side. I want to get things no one will think of and will be handy to have on hand. I need ideas. Here is what I have so far.
a couple of books of stamps
paper plates, forks, napkins etc.
a new address book
1st aid kit
work gloves
note paper and pens
an organizing box to keep papers and things straight
tylanol
can you thing of any thing else
oh and flashlights
thanks for all your help!!
The biggest thing that you can do right now for them is to provide them with some personal time. There is going to be so many people helping that they will not any time to be themselves. So if you can help them by getting them a night alone. That will help them out the most. It is like when a family member is sick, the mother or father is there constantly asking them every 5 minutes "Do you need anything?" Sometimes it is being alone again that matters.
