Zombie apocalypse!!?
A zombie apocalypse has just broken out. All of your friends and family have already been turned, so there is no one to save, your only mission is survival.
You can carry one gun, and your options are:
a) Shotgun
b) Sniper Rifle
c) Pistol
One accessory, and your options are:
a) Crowbar
b) Chainsaw
c) Flashlight
(Also, everyone gets a lighter)
And use one vehicle, and your options are:
a) Pickup
b) Sports car
c) Motorcycle
Which do you choose and what is your survival plan?
c) First I would choose a pistol or some type of handgun. A sniper rifle would be great for long distance shots but you'd be dead in a close encounter because of the limited amount of ammo each clip holds and maybe the type of bullet used for they are just made to take a target down cleanly. Shotguns aren't as great for zombies as the movies will lead you to believe. First they take too much time to reload. Second, the recoil can greatly affect your aim. undeadreport.com can answer all other questions with that one.
a) I would choose a crowbar. A blunt object can do more damage than one would expect. And it never runs out of ammo. A chainsaw is a terrible idea because it would run out of power (gas) and it is way too noisey.
The vehicle question is a tad tougher. A sports car wouldn't be at all helpful but a pickup could come in handy if you're transporting other people and equipment. Plus you can run down the undead effectively. A motorcycle could also be a good idea because they are great on gas and easy to hide so as to not be inadvertanly destroyed by the undead.
My survival plan would no doubt be about looking for survivors. Like in the movies I would go out looking for a population that has been quarentined with healthy people. I would also try to take out as many of the undead as safely possible. I suppose I would make bombs and aquire as many guns as I could carry first and find a good vehicle. Where I live many of the rich people have nice big SUVs that could serve my purpose. I could write a whole paper on this subject....
