1988 Plymouth Reliant dashboard lights?
When I turn my headlights on, the dashboard panel lights dont work (spedometer, gas tank,high beams,blinkers... whatev...). Only the air conditioning lights come on. The only things in that dashboard that come on is the high beams light comes on, and it only turns off if you turn your high beams on, so its basically always there, and also my blinker lights are on forever, and only blink when you use the blinker.Also, the gages are all out of wack. when I turn my lights on, and i put a flashlight up to it, the gas tank thing goes past F, and the temp thing sys its HOT. The I know i have my dashboard lights & such set to on because the a/c panel turns on. Also, once every 3 billion years, the dashlights & guages DO work, though. Anyone know why?It bugs me.
I have similar issues and I am pretty sure there is a short somewhere. I learned to accept it but I am told that a short can actually create a spark in rare instances and perhaps even ignite a flame.
