What's a good quality pocket knife for $50 or less?
I want to buy a nice pocket knife. I'm thinking of the folding kind, with a large blade and a smaller one (NOT a multi-tool, I already have a Leatherman). It would be nice if the handle was attractive and tasteful. I like the kind with a kind of bony or pearly finish to them. But most importantly, I would like the blades to be made of quality steel and not need a lot of sharpening.
This will not be chiefly an outdoors knife, so it doesn't need to be weather proof or anything. But it would be nice if it was durable. I actually don't hunt but there's no "knife" category in Yahoo Answers and I figure hunters would know knives.
Any suggestions, as far as manufacturers/models (a direct link would be great)? I know knives are a huge world unto themselves and I have no expertise in this area, I just know I'd like to have a decent one. Someday it will also make a nice gift for my son as well. Thanks much.
My favorite carry knife is my Kabar Warthog . It has a broad thick blade that sharpens easily and holds and edge well.It is very light and has grip surfaces for various holds. Nice comfortable carry andd a smooth action and lock.
About $30.00If they ever discontinue it I'll buy 2 just so I'll always have them.
