Maverick 88 please help?
I own a maverick with a factory 18.5" barrel. What i want to do specifically is add this camo forend to my maverick:

Notice it says that the forends will not fit the Maverick 88 but will fit the Mossberg 500. After doing research here on yahoo and shotgunworld.com, it seems that I require an action slide tube assembly to fit the forend on to my Maverick, as the maverick forend is directly attached to the action slide whereas the mossberg 500 forend is not. My question is what size of action slide assembly is appropriate for a maverick with my specifications, the 18.5" inch barrel (im not sure if that is relevant) etc.
I have seen 6-3/4", 7-1/2" and 7-3/4" action slide tube assemblies for the mossberg 500 and I want to know which one is the one I need. Thank you
You need to measure your forend. That will tell you the length of what you have now. But you also need to know if your Maverick has two arms that connect to the bolt, or one, because I don't know that answer. And you will need to know when your order the new slide action.
