Is using the magazine/mag well of an AR as a handle "wrong"?
I was always taught that it was wrong for whatever reason to use the magazine/mag well of an AR as a front grip ... but I notice a TON of people do it, including people who are good shooters. Was I taught wrong or is there actually a reason not to do that?
Your DI would not want to see the front hand on the mag well ... but lot's of "offhand" long range competetors shoot that way.
If you are using a AR for "tactical" stuff... like clearing a room... most folks like to get the front hand out as far forward at they can.
Proper grip really depends on what we want to do with the rifle
