What is a better choice of collar to walk a dog?
The "full body" harness or just the neck collar? I have heard that the body harness hurts the dogs, and that is the last thing that I want to do. But, my dog is pretty hard to handle...so I figured that the body harness would be a better way to ensure the publics safety. But also if it hurts him, I'd rather hurt the public. lol. Kidding, Thank you.

i would suggest a martingale collar. it used to be used just for sighthounds who have a smaller head than their neck, but now is considered a humane choke (limited choke) collar used on a wide variety of breeds, from tiny italian greys to mastiffs. there are lots of places online where you can order them, and they'll be custom made with your choice of fabric and size. even if you find a site selling collars for greys, they'll make you a special one if you give them the measurements.
i get mine from my breeder, but also found a greyhound rescue organization who has a volunteer who makes them, giving 100% profits to greyhound rescue. she only charges $20 + shipping (others will charge around $35-$50).
someone else had recommended gentle leaders..those work great too. it gives you more control.
i would also suggest obedience classes.
