what makes a good bullet?
I just purchased a springfield .45 xd for my first gun. I dont know much about ammo. I was looking at extreme shot ammo and it was like 3 bucks a shot while some other ammo is only 50 cent a shot. whats the difference? I know the grain has to do with it and what no, and if its reloaded. can anyone give me some good pointers?

is higher grain or lower grain better?
For practice I'd shoot some basic winchester ball ammo. You can get a box of 100 for around $26. It's not cheap but .45 ammo is not cheap. Good choice on the xd. I've had my .45 with the 5in. barrell for about two years, and I've never had a jam (of course I clean it regularly), it's an excellent choice.
