Making an an Umbrella Peacock Costume?
I'm planning to make myself a peacock costume for Halloween, and here's my basic plan: I'll wear a blue dress with a belt, put small peacock feathers in my hair, use face paint and whatnot, and use an umbrella for the tail fan. If you look at this, www.evilmadscientist.com/article.php/UmbrellaBatCostume, my tail fan will follow the same principle. I'll attatch large peacock plumes to the ribs so that they don't show. I'll tie it to my belt and let it hang limp, but if I want to I can pull it up and out to display it. But there are a few flaws in my plan: First of all, where can I find a cheap green umbrella and lots of peacock feathers? I was wondering if there were stores that I could buy them from, because I don't like buying stuff online, with all the shipping costs and duty. Second, how should I paint my face? Should it be really simple or should I make it really vibrant or detailed? And are there any ideas on how I can make myself more peacock-like? Thanks.
depending on wher you live you might try the dollar stores or Michael's crafts. you could always just make/ wear a mask of feathers, and as for the green umbrella just spray paint one green
