what kind of charge will my friend get?
We were all hanging out at the park and my friend had a gun on him. He is 17 and wasn't planning on killing anyone with it or some stupid stuff like that. He actually found the gun and thought it looked cool so kept it but anyways, the cops showed up at the park and found my friends gun, it was in a little black case and wasn't loaded but it did have one bullet in the case. He's in jail now and his bail is 4,000 dollars but i still don't know what they charged him with. Can someone please tell me?
by the way i lied about the "he found it" part, no the gun wasn't used to murder anyone but when the cops asked him to say where he got it, thats the story he used so he has to stick to it. AND NO SHIT IT WAS STUPID, tell me something i don't know.
oh and the gun was someones dead relative, not stolen either.

A 17YO in any jurisdiction is still a juvenile.
Juveniles are not placed in prison under the conditions of bail.
They are either placed in juvenile detention to await a hearing or released to the care of their parent to await a hearing.
Please post plausible questions.
