Improving Rock music?
So finally got my Subs in
-2 12" Kicker L5
and my PS1-3000D Power Acoustik amp
and it BASSES
I do listen to hardcore rock also along with some rap.
what ive got in my car now are Home Theatre speakers that are hooked direct to the back of my headunit. they are like 150 Watt each, i got 2. none of my factory speakers work. What are good speakers i can fit in my car.
its a 1980 Ford Fairmont Squire stationwagon.
The rock varies from Guns n Roses to Atreyu. So it varies, but still is distorted when trying to cramp the speakers up, along with the double bass coming from subs..
hope this makes sense..and if i get suggestions of what speakers ill give ya best answers
Also~, I will get a 4 channel amp to power if neccessary..
Thanks

here is info on replacement sizes for your factory speakers......
http://electronics.pricegrabber.com/car-speakers/m/6433974/
here is an excellent choice for your 6 1/2s in the front...look around for the other sizes...alpine and eclipse sound quality at high volumes are hard to beat...and i will further suggest using at least 2 guage power and ground cables if you havent already done so...it is mandatory for 1000 watts or more...you dont have to replace every single speaker in the ol wagon just get four for now...2 in the front and two in the rear and i hope that your head unit isnt factory....again eclipse or alpine is the best bang for your buck although i have heard good things about kicker woofers....good luck and keep in my mind that will be a strain on a 1980 factory electrical system....see the 12volt.com for information regarding upgrades to The Big Three and upgrading alternator and battery
