What is a good concealed carry holster?
I have a Sig Sauer P229 Equinox (it has rails), and I need to find a really good concealed carry holster. The holster I use now is a uncle mikes IWB holster, and it works pretty good, but the problem I have is that I can't really wear tighter shirts because the grips on my gun are pretty wide, so it prints. It prints a little bit even when I wear a loose baggy shirt too. I was thinking about getting a smart carry holster, they seem to conceal the pistol pretty good, but I wanted to know if there was any other ones that would be better or more comfortable and wouldn't print with the 229. I don't want to get another pistol either.
I just want a comfortable and non-printing holster. That's all.
in stock holsters, look for Bianchi, Galco, Gould and Goodrich.
those stock holsters work for about 95% of the body types and preferences found amound folks who carry concealed or plainclothed.
Uncle Mikes is a good product... but they just are not specialist in a good conclealed product. as far as holsters.
Mernicle holsters and Simply Rugged make custom and semi- custom holsters...(and a few hundred other guys do to)
I have been looking for the "perfect" ccw holster for me for 30 years now... I have a box full of holsters that did not work out...or got replaced when a better one came along or we changed duty guns.
