is it bad not to have protection on your ear plugs?
I was on a train for a few hours and I had lost the plastic end of my ear plugs. they're the full metal jacket range and the ear plug goes right into the ear. it even has surround sound but i keep the sound low, because i already have hearing difficulties (rockers ear).
when i had the unprotected ear plug in i felt a lot of hot air in my ear.
i'm not sure what further damage i've done to my hearing.
To fully assess the amount of damage you have done to your ear from noise exposure, you could discuss this with your local doctor. Essentially you would need an audiology assessment (hearing test) which would test the loudness you need for a stimulus in various hearing ranges.
