Hunting Ground Blind
I will be hunting this year with a shotgun, and am trying to decide if I should use a tree stand, or blind?

I will be hunting white tail this year, with a shotgun, and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to what kind of tree stand I should use. I need a safe, inexpensive tree stand.
Also, what would you recommend, a tree stand or some kind of ground blind, for shotgun hunting.
I am kind of strapped for cash, so take that into account.

In response to one of the answers: I will be hunting on some private land owned by a friend of a friend. I really have only seen a small portion of the land, but for the most part it appears to be semi swampy in some areas, with lots and lots of trees. Once I have scouted it out a bit I can use your suggestions and make a good decision I think. I really appreciate all the info so far.
Safety is my number one concern, I am striving to be safe whichever way I choose.

No tree stand and little to no ground blind.... Wear camo or similar, back against a tree or partially obscure your position in / near brush...... This has worked for me for years.... You would be surprised what walks up on you when your still.......
