Did I make a good buy on these knives?
The company brand is Crossfire
the 1st purchase was a 3pc ninja knife throwing set w/ sheath (payed $10.00)
The 2nd purchase was a Super Knife(it has a cross engraved into the balck metal handle) (payed $10.00)
Depends what you want those knives for. If you spend less than $30 on a knife, its because you got something lower quality than 440 steel, which means it's best as just a demonstration thing (you know, put up somewhere for display only). Cheap steel does not hold an edge and lacks the temper to do much work with.
440 steel is the minimum I use when I go out camping, but I generally spend the extra to get AUS-4, AUS-6, or AUS-8 steel in high carbon and high temper. AUS-8 is just a few steps down from forged steel.
So, if you're asking if you got a good deal on some display knives, yeah. 10 bucks for a little show and tell isn't bad. If you're asking if you got a good deal on a knife that could be used in a survival or combat situation, then no, you've spent 20 dollars on things that have no real world use.
