Is it possible that my green laser was tweaked?
I purchased a 5 mw green light laser pointer from a reputable company. After a few weeks of use the unit failed and was returned for repair. When I received the repaired unit some weeks later, I tried it and to my amazement, the bloomin thing seems to be much much brighter than not only the original but brighter also than a similar model. Could it be that they tweaked it a bit, increasing the power? Is there such a variability in power between otherwise similar models that I ended up getting an optimally powered cherry? I know..."don;t look a gift horse in the mouth"... No complaints here. It is like bringing in a tired old motor for repair (under warranty) only to receive a more powerful than spec unit after it is overhauled.
it was probly never at its full power in the first place
