I want to build a 10/22?
I just found I really love target shooting. I want to build a 10/22 from scratch and need some advice. Mainly I wanna know what should I be looking for in the "action" and trigger. As for the rest of stock and barrel I know most of that is a matter of cosmetics. I also want to be able to use the rifle as a race gun and need to know what red dot or laser sight is best for a compact .22 rifle. Basically in a nutshell I'm looking to build the baddest ass pink Hello Kitty target 10/22 ever.
Volsquartzen components are arguably some of the best.
The only difficulty I see in builiding a 10/22, is cost. Getting a stripped reciever isn't too hard, as Volsquartzen does have them, however they are several hundred dollars for JUST the reciever, then you pay a premium for a good barrel, a well balanced stock, not to mention a quality trigger group and other parts. From scratch, you are looking at about $800 to start, not including optics.
Keep in mind a factory 10/22 is about $200.
