I got my husband a scope for his 22 and need to know what else I need to buy to mount it.?

based on what I saw at the web site, you will need to buy a set of 1" rings to go with it.
Probably a set that will fit the standard dovetail on most .22s.
Most .22s have a set of grooves in the top of the receiver (the part between the barrel and stock) and the rings clamp into that groove.
Best bet would be to call opticsplanet and tell them what scope you bought and what brand and model firearm it will be mounted on - they should be able to help you.
Or go to local gun shop. Even Walmart might be able to help. (they don't show rings on web site but might have in store)
1 inch rings and probably grooved receiver should get you what you need but save your receipt (Ruger 10/22 uses a separate base instead of grooved receiver)
