I have a .40 S&W and i'm looking to buy a holster what do you perfer.?
What does it mean when they ask J-frame or N-Frame or K-frame. I am looking for something lower priced then those expensive leather ones. Would nylon be ok. They have a guide series one that you carry your gun in front of you and holds one x clip.
Letters are designated by S&W to define revolver frame size "J" being the smallest and (now) "X" being the largest. "N" used to be the biggest frame size for S&W revolvers. Also, .40 S&W is a caliber and semi-automatic pistols can come in small, medium or large frame for the .40 S&W caliber pistols. Nylon is fine for a holster depending on your method of carry. I find leather is more comfortable for concealed carry than nylon but that may just be me.
