Which LED flashlight should I buy, for camping/hiking/bail out bag?
From looking online, it seems like any surfire light is the way to go.. and i would love to have one, but they are so pricey.. is there a LED flashlight for under 50$ (or close to it) that has a high/low (power saver) lumen output setting and a long lasting hours usage on a single battery?
prefer a tac light or high lumen but will sacrifice that for price...
finally, do those LED lights have a focussed beam? or do they just illuminate an area?
Man, reading online is fine and dandy but there is no substitute for experience. You gotta go try out some of this stuff and make a decision based off what's best for you, not what anybody else says.
In my experience no LED lights have as focused of a beam, they mostly just make light. Not always helpful, but sometimes.
You seem to be looking for quality gear. Hate to break it to you, but good equipment (in any field, not just outdoors stuff) is expensive. Either suck it up and pay the money or deal with lower quality products.
