That seems to be a lot of light for a small flashlight. A lux is one lumen on a 1 meter square area. 7,000 lux would be 7,000 lumens in 1 square meter. I can't say the light you link to doesn't produce this amount of illumination, just that it seems excessive. One of the more popular flashlights with police and fire departments is the Streamlight. They're rugged and bright. It's also been my experience that an LED flashlight doesn't focus light one with an incandescent bulb. If you get an LED light, make sure it produces not just the light, but the beam you want. If you want a tight beam that can throw a spot a long distance, you man want one with an incandescent bulb. Probably a krypton bulb. Compare the light with ones from Streamlight and Maglite at the links below to be sure you're getting what you expect. Pay particular attention to how far the light beam travels if you want the distance. Keep in mind that even with LED's, bright light means more power from the batteries. The brighter the light, the greater the demand from the batteries.
