Is there any open-source php mysql software that allows me to manage my book collection?
I do not need the library features but something like ibookshelf with a web interface so I can manage my book collection online and share with other people. Also it would be nice if it support my other collections, e.g. DVD, CD, stamps, etc.
Books shows promise. Not sure what it's implimented in but has wide OS support and also web support.
Tigerbook sounds like exactly what you want.
l-a-s would probably require some mods for sharing but looks very promising. It already supports other mediums besides books. Would likely be very easy to put in authentication and share security.
Anyway here are a few that look like they might do what you want. Try browsing http://freshmeat.net/ lots of excellent software there. Almost all of it open source. Sourceforge is another good place to look. Harder to search though.
