radiator hose pops off when I push pedal to full throttle. how do i fix it and what is causing it.?
I have a 93 saturn sl2. Whenever I go to pass a car or just having fun at a light or somthing, and I mash the pedal to the floor the top radiator hose seperates from the radiatior and i loose all my antifreeze. It originally had a butterfly clamp on it the kind you squeeze with vice grips and it loosens but since it started popping off I put a screwable loop clamp on it and tightened it as tight as I could without cracking the plastic tube of the radiatior. but even then it still comes off. Does anyone know what is causing this is there somehow too much pressure ?
you may have a blockage in the area of the thermostat that then under extreme pressure blocks off completely . Take off the housing and check the thermostate housing...
