Which is a better airsoft vest?
I like both of these vest because they offer a lot of protection. Which one if a better vest to get for airsoft, 1 or 2? I'm leaning towards 2 because I can customize it to my will with pouches and mag holders, unlike number 1 which is already made. (Note, vest # 1 also has a crotch protector, it's just folded up in the vest).

you don't wear vests for protection, especially when you play CQB, because the BBs don't travel all that fast and you probably won't be hurt too much.
you wear vest for the pouches and to carry your mags batteries BBs...stuff you need to carry and need fast access to.
i say neither one of those vests are all that helpful, especially number 2, since it has NO pouches. you may add them, but that's more money. 75 dollars is quite too expensive for a vest with no pouches.
although number 1 is not customization-friendly, i would buy number one. if you play CQB (seeing that you're getting a black one you probably play CQB) 3 pouches should be more than enough to carry mags.
that is a different story if you have oddly-shaped mags like p90s or AK, they will not fit in the vest #1's pouches. they will, but they will stick out, and you'd look funky and they might just pop and drop out of the vest and you will lose them. in this case neither one is helpful, but if you have too much money to waste around on vest and pouches go for #2. you may purchase pouches for oddly shaped mags separately.
and, i wouldn't buy it from evike. notorious for bad services and name frauds. airsoftgi.com is very reliable, yet this is somewhat overexpensive. but really, you get the best deal on vests on ebay. if you get a used one it really some deal. I got a woodland camo vest that came with 4 m4-style mag pouches, 2 grenade pouches, and 1 pistol holster and a tact belt, all for 37 dollars.
honestly i don't like neither one of those vests. but it's your choice, and if i really had to suggest, i would get #1.
