Another question about my Pontiac...?
Ok, I have asked questions about it before but now I have a new problem.
Yesterday on my way home from work, at the base of a mountain going up (if that matters), the car had a shudder and acted as if it could not pick up 3rd gear. I let out on the gas, shudder went away and then I kept it in 3rd the entire way up and then put it back into OD on the backside of the mountain. It shuddered two more times on the way home, both times acting like it could not pick up 3rd gear. I know I need to change the fluid and filter but had not made the appointment yet.
My question is this....is it the torque converter or something else? Could a fluid change take away the problem? Either way, it needs a shop. I have a 2001 Firebird, V6. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
take it to the dealer, and have them do a power flush, and filter change, this should take care of it, and do it soon, sounds like the ports are plugged...
