Quality coyote scopes for 22-250?
I own a 22-250 Howa bolt action. It came with a Nikko Sterling and it is just a basic crosshairs. Im not really a fan of it and wanting a nicer one. I have been looking at the Nikon Coyote Special but I would like to see what else there is. I would like to have something much like the Nikon with reticles. What are some good distance scopes?
I also have a Howa in 22-250. My grand kids gave me a high powered scope for it as a Christmas present right after I bought it. The scope was a 6-24X40 BSA scope, with a Mil dot reticule. I confess I kind of cringed at the thought of a BSA on the rifle and even attempted to fool the kids with another scope. Alas, they caught me and I relented and mounted the BSA. I frankly did not think the scope would work out. But I sighted it in for 200 yards and have used it for my Prairie Dog hunts for the past three years. The scope has held its zero for all that time and I have become the bane of the local Prairie Dog population. Here is the scope and some other reviews on it.
